All of us here at Angel Wings & Amethyst are excited to have our doors open to offer classes and services to our community. Are you new to yoga or just new to our studio? To help simplify things all the information you need to know before coming to the studio is offered here on this page.
Group Classes: Registering for classes is required and if plans should change canceling or rescheduling a class should be done no later than 4 hours before class starts, this will give someone who wishes to attend class an opportunity to do so. Please note there is a cut-off time to register online before class starts. If you would like to join a class at the last minute please contact us, if space allows, we will be more than happy to have you join in. We are not accepting walk-ins.
Due to our cozy intimate studio, all no-shows or late cancellations will, unfortunately, incur a fee and/or forfeit a prepaid class.
Class Registration: We are using a secure online scheduler for all classes. Setting up an account and saving your information will simplify the process each time. We offer many ways to register for classes. There are links available all over this website and in our online product store. You can use the book now button or the "Tickets" link available in each class event on social media.
***Please note responding "GOING" to an event will NOT register you for the event/class.***
The registration link will also be available in social media posts, for easy access.
You will also find the links in our email newsletters and upcoming class reminders.
You may also email us, text us, call us, PM/DM us or stop in during business hours and speak with someone at the studio.
When you register for a class, it may ask you for payment, if you have a pass, class credit, or wish to pay with cash, you may scroll down and skip this option and continue to registration. If registration is complete and payment is due, you may pay in the studio before class.
You will receive an email confirmation once registration is complete. You will also receive an email reminder of the upcoming class plus an email informing you if anything has changed. Ex: Time, Date, Host, or Cancellation. Verify that your email address is correct and check your emails in the event something has changed.
Class Schedule: Our class schedule can be found here, on social media, in the studio, or via our email newsletters. Feel free to contact us with any questions or queries. We are currently expanding our yoga teacher team. Our class schedule will continue to expand, as we recover, and memberships grow. Remember to sign up early to reserve your spot in class.
***Please note we are currently offering in-studio classes, and live virtual classes. Online recorded classes coming soon. Our rates and schedules are slightly different than what we are offering for in-studio classes. ***
Memberships: We offer many different membership and subscription options; you can view them here.
Remember you need to register for all classes in advance. (No walk-ins please.)
If you purchased our grand opening one (1) month unlimited yoga class pass special, before the shutdown as of 1/1/22 we are no longer honoring them. Please check the expiration dates on all unused memberships they do expire. "Our expiration dates are very generous." Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have a special circumstance. We offer other class promotions and specials.
Release/Intake forms/waivers: You will be asked to fill out and sign our class participation waiver. You only need to fill out each form once. We have different forms depending on the class or service. Downloadable forms are available below, please download, print, complete, and bring the form(s) with you to class.
We do have forms available in the studio, please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to fill out the forms, thank you.
Class Preparation:
Yoga Class: Eat a light meal 1-1/2 hours to 2 hours before class. It is best not to practice yoga on a full stomach (it is counterproductive).
*You should wear comfortable free moving season-appropriate clothing. Dress in simple layers to allow for the removal or dressing of layers. You may get warm during practice and cool during rest.
*Please wear minimal jewelry, to prevent damage or injury. Removal of large or dangling earrings is advised.
*All shoes must be removed before entering the studio, for ease of removal and redressing it would be best to wear simple slip-on type shoes. We have storage for shoes, jackets, and personal items.
Although your stuff will be safe during class, it is advised to leave valuables at home or locked in your vehicle (hidden from sight). Cellphones and other personal electronic devices are allowed inside the store, but we prefer they not be inside the studio during class time. They can be left with your personal items in the prop/shoe room either silenced or turned off. Exception... In the event you have left a child or sick/elderly family member for some respite/self-care we will allow the device in the studio silenced for emergency purposes.
*During yoga class, it is best and advised to remove socks during practice. Why? Well... Being barefoot during practice has many benefits, it helps with stability and balance, it awakens the nerves within the feet, creates deeper grounding with freedom during movement and fresh air for the feet.
*Bring water with you to class, it is important to stay hydrated. We do offer cold water bottles for sale if you forget.
Meditation Class: Bring an open mind and permit yourself to relax and let go of all that does not serve you.
*Wear comfortable fitting season-appropriate clothing. Dress in simple layers to allow for the removal or dressing of layers. You may feel cool during the session, you may bring a blanket with you or use one of ours.
*Bring your bag of crystals with you, each class a new one will be given to add to your crystal bag.
*Bring anything that could help you achieve a deeper and more comfortable session.
*Shoes must be removed before entering the studio, but socks may remain on.
*You do not need to bring a yoga mat for meditation classes, we will be resting in chairs or on cushioned mats.
Props: We have props available to use during class. Props include mats, blankets, straps, blocks, eye pillows, and bolsters. We do provide chairs during our chair yoga class and anti-gravity chairs for our Meditation classes.
It is ideal for each person to bring their mat for a yoga class, but we do have them available for use and sale.
You may also bring a blanket/towel/sheet, a pillow or bolster, and an eye cover if you would feel more comfortable having your own, but you are always welcome to use ours.
If you would like to purchase any yoga props, we do have them available for sale inside the healing shop. We have mats, straps, blocks, eye pillows, and some Mexican yoga blankets available for purchase. If anyone is interested in purchasing a bolster, please let us know.
Masks or Face Coverings: They are now optional during class and in the store. There are absolutely zero judgments allowed within our space, please always remain respectful to everyone regardless of vaccination status or personal choice to wear or not to wear a mask or face shield during class.
Anyone requesting a face mask or face shield can be provided one. Face shields and "surgical masks" are available.
Screening process before each class: The guidelines on screening before classes are now optional. We just ask everyone, if you are not feeling well, please stay home and get well quickly. If you have been exposed to someone sick, please wait and test to be sure you are not sick. If you test positive for covid within 10 days of visiting us, we kindly ask that you contact us and let us know.
We do have some free at-home test kits available to anyone who would like one.
Cleaning and Sanitizing: We encourage good hand hygiene, constant hand washing, and hand sanitizer use. Hand sanitizer is available and accessible for all, we encourage each person visiting to please use the hand sanitizer provided to help reduce the likelihood of infection spread. We use an FDA/CDC-approved product and method of cleaning and sanitizing all common areas and commonly touched items. Along with the chairs used during classes, after each day, or after each use. After each class, the entire studio, back hallway, and bathroom will be disinfected. We open the backdoor to allow fresh air exchanges.
We have upgraded our HVAC filter to the highly-rated Merv-13 filter.
Intake waiver forms are required for all new students before the start of your first class. Please print, fill out, and bring with you to class.
